Hardy's Cummins & others

Full sized view

Hardy's Security Clips were fitted into Wheatley boxes, they can be found in 5,6,7, and 8 inch boxes and with or without the Hardy plaque rivetted to the top. The lozenge, large Made in England and Silmalloy logos can be found. The boxes all seem to be rare, the 6 inch seems to be the least rare.

Can you help with this - if you have a box, what logo does it have, and does it have a Hardys plaque. Hardy catalogue page on left

Wheatley made the "Unthank" boxes for W.J. Cummins of Bishop Auckland in County Durham. They seem to mostly be based on the 6 inch box although a small number of 5 inch and cast boxes can be found. These are still being worked on and rarity plus detailed description will follow.
