Loch Leven Eyed Fly Box Exterior

The Loch Leven Eyed Fly Box has seen a number of changes in it's design throughout a long and distinguished career. It has had at least twelve different designs, four sizes and at least 20 interiors.

The Loch Leven Eyed Fly Box started around the start of the 20th century with a pictorial lid showing the island on which Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned and printed mainly in green and white and then green and yellow, both with gold "gilt" insides

The Loch leven Eyed Fly Box became plain green with a rivetted label and then a printed one, it had "Made in England" added, then the logo, followed by rounded corners .

The Loch leven Eyed Fly Box changed colour to gold when a second size was produced and then to white first with a paper label, which was followed by a darker printed labe and then was re designed with just the logo and text. Steve Morr has also told me of a larger size box of which the details are still not fully known. At the end of 1983 beginning of 84 the minimum order for the base box was so increased that a decision was taken to stop production of the Loch Leven Eyed Fly Box
