Plastic boxes

Over the years Richard Wheatley have experimented with a number of materials and compounds and by 1955 they were offering the "Translux" dry fly box. By 1966 this box had been discontinued and replaced by another range of boxes with plastic shells. These were gold based and made by Bonnards of France and finished at Richard Wheatleys factory in Walsall. The clip plates for these are marked with the small "Made in England" logo
