Following the Sale of Richard Wheatley Ltd by the family the maufacture of Leather Goods ceased. Some time later the new Company began to produce high quality wooden boxes for reels, fly tying and fly storage. A number of these are quiet scarce and may become highly desirable. Pictures not to scale

Two types and sizes of Fly Tying Cabinets were produced The 16 and 20 inches. With either a brass or Leather handle and a brass engravable label or a laser etched motif. Ceased being made in 1989 R Fly tying tools are in the miscellany section

Richard Wheatley also made reel boxes for J.W. Young who made "aerial" fly reels for J. Austin Forbes. The boxes held two or three reels but were not available seperately
De-Luxe boxes are still available in Oak, Cherry and Black Walnut with 3 foam combinations and a 16 compartment. A maple box is being made for Orvis A

C- box is common & turns up regularly at vintage tackle dealers, fairs or auctions incl. ebay
S- this box is scare but turn up on occasions
R- this box is rare
RR- these are very rare
E - this is exceptional, extremely rare and few examples are known.
